Vegan Venture Cookery Course

The next Vegan Venture cookery course will take place in August 2017. If you are aged between 16 and 25, vegetarian or vegan, and you would like to learn to cook, or to improve your knowledge of vegetarian cookery and nutrition, then it may be perfect for you.

This one-day course, which takes place at The Vegetarian Society's prestigious Cookery School in Cheshire, has been specifically designed for young people. You'll learn how to prepare quick and easy vegan dishes that don't cost a lot to make.

The course is a great way to learn new skills and to meet like-minded young people in a happy and relaxed atmosphere. Please read the course report on this site for a review!

In addition to free tuition and lunch, we may also be able to assist with your travelling costs and, if necessary, arrange overnight accommodation in a hotel nearby.

If you are accepted on the course, you are expected to take up your place or let us know in good time if you are unable to do so. There is a lot of competition for free places and we can always offer your place to another applicant with sufficient notice.

The course is held in memory of Mr Maxwell Lee, Chairman of The Vegetarian Charity from 1986 until his death in 2005. Maxwell became a vegetarian at the age of 12 for moral reasons and then a vegan in 1985. His commitment to The Vegetarian Society spanned 50 years in various roles. He was Honorary General Secretary of the International Vegetarian Union for 17 years and later President of the European Vegetarian Union.
